Discourse 4 is a collaboration with a 4th year studio of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. POCAA facilitated the community engagement part of a project named “Exploring community engagement tools and co-developing public space”. Along with POCAA members, community women also facilitated the process in the studio.
POCAA (Platform of Community Action and Architecture) and the Department of Architecture, SUST have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster deeper collaboration in action research, community engagement, and sustainable design practices. This milestone strengthens architecture education by embedding community-led processes at the heart of academia and practice in Bangladesh.
As part of our collaboration with the Department of Architecture, SUST, from **October-**November, have conducted a studio collaboration with the 4th year students. Students are exploring community engagement tools and working on co-developing public space reimagining the old jail as an urban retreat.
