Towhidul Alam

Towhidul Alam is an architect working with POCAA. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from BRAC University in 2016. Before joining POCAA, he worked with Co.Creation.Architects and BRAC Institute of Educational Development. Towhidul has been involved in several landscape and community upgradation projects across Bangladesh — including community clinics, low-cost playgrounds for children in both formal and informal settings, creative clubs for adolescents, and community spaces for women and children — in collaboration with NGOs and private initiatives. His interests lie in low-cost housing and vernacular architectural practices that adapt to new technologies, materials, and ways of building. Towhidul believes in learning through collaboration and working closely with communities.
